The seasons are changing, the leaves are falling, and the birds are no longer chirping which to me is a clear sign fall is among us! Change of clothing and makeup colors is in order! Some of my favorites are tried and true and never steer me wrong! Burgundy nails and lips are to die for this season! I know in summer with hair colors you are to go brighter and with fall darker but I think I may have to skip that one rule! Seeing as though I wear black almost all year round I love to change my hair color! I mean it can speak volumes about someone! Check out my Fall Faves:
Lips: MAC Cyber, MAC Media. These are great bold deep plum and purple colors that make a statement.
Nails: Avon- Midnight Plum, Sinful Colors- Black on Black
Eyes: BH Cosmetics 26 Neutral Eye Shadow Palette, Wet N Wild Comfort Zone
Candles: Bath and Body Works: Autumn Day and Marshmallow Fireside, Cranberry Woods
Hair color: Burgundy , Black and Red, I recommend Loreal Highcolor Highlights. You can do whatever brand works for you!
Body Lotions: Bath and Body Works Dark Kiss and C.Booth in Vanilla Butter. C Booth is probably one of the best best best lotions I have used in a very long time!
Some of my Fall Favorites!
Nutrition to me is key and is very important. I am a 6 year vegetarian going vegan… even though I am really close to being vegan seeing as though I don’t eat fish or meat I just like cheese every once in a while, even though it gives my belly the blues. I love Almond Milk and haven’t missed cow’s milk since the day I stopped drinking it. My husband is also a serious athlete and food is fuel to his body! Some tips that I have for picky eaters or those who don’t know much about nutrition.
EAT REAL FOOD! It’s as simple as that.
Try new fruits and vegetables! Things that you didn’t like as a kid you may love as an adult our pallets change as we age.
Mix it up and add color. I love for my meals to have a lot of color to them when I eat. Salads, beans, veggies all are great things to have for every meal! Especially dark leafy greens… they are high in vitamins.
Have a smoothie. I find that this is a wonderful way to add some veggies into your diet and not even really noticing the flavor! My favorite is 2 handfuls of spinach, one banana and two cups orange juice with ice blend and drink up.
Try these out and see what you think!
Most days we say we have no time to workout but think about all the time you spend playing Candy Crush or Words with Friends! There is plenty of time to do some quick squats and heel raises while you do these tasks… you just got to want it!
50 Crunches during commercial breaks from your shows.
Climb your stairs 10 times as you talk on the phone with your best friend.
You can even do the 30 day squat challenge. Once the month is over you won’t want to stop.
So lately I have been trying to get on this path of living the most productive life I can. This is proving to be a little hard, feeling as though there are not enough hours in the day let alone enough energy to get through! As I was getting my office organized for the new furniture that is going to go in there I stumbled across this book that I read once before but a couple of years back and I remember that this was the book that helped me get on the right path to a more focused future. Not sure when and where I fell off this path, I know I need to refocus and reevaluate things in my life to get where I’m destined to be. This is SELF Magazine’s book 15 Minutes to Your Best Self. This book is an easy read but very informative! As I reread this I will post things that may help you in your life or you can just go online and purchase a copy for yourself! Either way… happy reading!
Even though the fall season is among us, there is still that silver lining at the edge of this story! Spring will be right around the corner again, well I mean we still have to get through the blistering cold of winter but it is there. When we flip through our magazines and prepare our mind and bodies again for the sun light we can also prepare our closets! This season of fashions shows, give us a great heads up to what will soon be in our future. Pastels, black and white, lace and sexy draped dresses just to name a few. One of my favorites is L.A.M.B’s cool play of color and prints and Gwens style is iconic in my eyes!
